The Diviners

In the 1920’s, Evie O’Neill has been shipped off from her boring Ohio town and sent to live in New York City with her uncle, who is the curator of The Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult. Evie has a great time partying in speakeasies and befriending Ziegfield girls, but, thanks to her secret powers, she soon gets pulled into multiple murder investigations.

The first half of this book was a little confusing for me. Each chapter was written from a different person’s point of view. At this point, none of these characters had relationships with each other, so it was like following five different stories. About halfway through the book, the plot takes off, and the action gets intense!
